What it does

Claude SEO is a free plugin that turns Claude Code into an SEO auditor. Point it at a website and it sends several specialist sub-agents (separate copies of Claude, each with one job) across the site at once.

They cover technical SEO, content quality, Schema.org markup (the hidden code that tells Google what a page is about), AI search visibility, local SEO, e-commerce and international sites. Every audit ends with a prioritized list of fixes and how to tell whether each one worked.

Install it

  1. Open Claude Code.
  2. Paste the three commands below. The first two install the plugin.
  3. The last one, /seo setup, creates a private Python environment for the plugin and installs the Chromium browser it uses.
  4. Run /seo doctor any time to check everything is ready.

/plugin marketplace add AgriciDaniel/claude-seo
/plugin install claude-seo@agricidaniel-claude-seo
/seo setup

Use it

  1. Full site audit: /seo audit https://example.com (use your own site).
  2. One page in depth: /seo page https://example.com/about
  3. Local businesses: /seo local https://example.com checks your Google Business Profile, citations, reviews and map pack.
  4. AI search: /seo geo https://example.com checks how well your pages can be quoted by AI Overviews and AI search.

Good to know

It is MIT licensed with no telemetry and works with zero API keys. Adding free Google API credentials (run /seo google setup) unlocks real Core Web Vitals and Search Console data; without them, speed scores are lab estimates.

A full audit uses Opus for five of its agents, so it costs more tokens than a single page check. Some optional extensions connect paid services that need your own account.
