A writing skill that teaches Claude to catch and cut the phrases, structures and rhythms that make text sound AI-generated.

What it does
AI writing has patterns: throat-clearing openers, business jargon, binary contrasts, dramatic fragments, passive voice. This skill gives Claude a list of those patterns and before-and-after examples so it can remove them.
It also scores a draft from 1 to 10 on directness, rhythm, trust, authenticity and density. Below 35 out of 50 means revise.
Install it
- Download the repo from GitHub (Code, then Download ZIP) and unzip it.
- Claude Code: add the stop-slop folder as a skill, for example by putting it in your skills folder.
- Claude Projects: upload SKILL.md and the files in the references folder to your project knowledge.
- Anywhere else: copy the core rules from SKILL.md into your custom instructions, or include SKILL.md in your system prompt.
Use it
- Ask Claude to write or edit something, and to apply the stop-slop rules.
- Paste in an existing draft and ask it to score the draft on the five dimensions, then revise anything under 35/50.
