What it does

Dyad is an AI app builder that runs on your own machine. You describe the app you want and AI builds it, similar to Lovable, v0 or Bolt.

Because it is local, your projects stay with you and there is no lock-in. You bring your own AI API keys, so you choose the model provider.

Install it

  1. Go to the download section of dyad.sh (linked below). No sign-up is required.
  2. Download the version for your platform (Mac or Windows) and install it.
  3. Open Dyad and add your AI API key.

Use it

  1. Start a new app and describe what you want to build.
  2. Share your projects and get help in the r/dyadbuilders community on Reddit.

Good to know

The README is short and does not list system requirements or Linux support. Code outside the src/pro folder is Apache 2.0; code inside src/pro uses the Functional Source License 1.1.
